I was taking Amoxicillin for a sinus infection when I get a 'yeast infection'. I used the 3 day cream treatment thinking it would work. It help but did not clear up all the itching. I call my Doc, she prescribed me Diflucan. I took it on Monday night, and in a minute it is Thursday and still itching with abdominal pains. I do not enjoy any yeast down there, so I don't know whats going on..I am married so STD's are not really a verbs.Yeast infection beside no yeast?
Yeast infections are common following treatment next to an antibiotic (e.g., Amoxicillian), b/c in attachment to killing the "bad" germs, they also kill the "good" flora that preserve you vagina healthy. Candida can also be present systemically (all over your body, not simply your vagina). If the diflucan still isn't working, it's time to call your doc and see what other steps to bear. You may need to be on an anti-candida diet.
In the meantime, obtain yourself a good probiotic (e.g., THeralac), and get through plenty of active-culture yogurt.

Perhaps it is not a yeast infection. There are many types that mimic one; you have need of to get an exam and see what it going on.
And nuptials does not always protect against STDs.
