Will it connect spinal column?

For some reason, my staple keeps breaking at the bottom. Mainly a small hole open up in my fastener. Now as a nail bitter, i would own the tension to bite it and eventually bite the pin off from bottom up. Now theres a small slit at the bottom. My question is... will the pin connect back to the existing fastener, or grow over itWill it connect spinal column?
I doubt it will connect back. I once get my thumb caught when my friend closed the car door on it and the fastener cracked and eventually lifted itself bad the nail bed and afterwards fell off. The different nail be very soft and took some time formerly the normal fastener grew back. Just maintain it clean and don't bite.
