My husband had a vasectomy surrounded by July. Within a month he started experiencing hives all over his body on a daily basis and fatigue and joint twinge. Doctor (Dermotologist) tested him to rule out autoimmune disorders such as lupus. Doc said sometimes (very rarely) vasectomy can cause this spontaneous effect and we can only dally for his immune system to acclimate and that it can take up to 3 years... anyone else ever experience this??? Doc have him on Singulair, Claritain and Zantac daily and they don't suppress smmptoms any longer, should we aim a second opinion?Anyone Else Experience Hives After Vasectomy?
I’m no doctor, but I researched vasectomies earlier I got mine. Once within a while, the doctor makes an error after adjectives the sperm ducts. The doctor likely didn’t close up one of the two sperm ducts especially well. The sperm spilled out into his body.
Anyway, his body is allergic to his own sperm. Being that the duct didn’t properly close, they will verbs to enter his blood or even his sack until the duct closes. The problem will eventually go away.
Print out this explanation and purloin it to a different doctor.
It sounds like your husband is have some immune reaction to the procedure. It turns out that nearby is a sperm/blood barier to prevent the bodys immune system from attacking sperm and this may be the connection to the procedure and an immune attack. The doctor may be correct that surrounded by time his body may adjust, if not own it reversed if possible. Remember this is not a colloquial state for his body, and it may just be rejecting it.

Hi. I know its been awhile since this post went up but I wanted to check in with you to see if your husbands hives went away & how long it took? My husband had a vasectomy last April 2014 & July 2015 he developed chronic hives. It has been absolutely horrible as its affecting the entire family. His doc said it was an auto immune system issue & he is taking so much antihistamine now & its barely suppressing the hives enough for him to work. Then he comes home & breaks out all night. Barely getting enough sleep etc. Its a vicious circle. His parents think he's in drugs & his sister swears up & down its gluten. She preaches gluten free every time he talks to her. We basically are avoiding his family. I need to help him somehow but am not sure how. I've become a verbal punching bag. Its affecting him mentally &,he takes all frustration out on me. Please help with any info.
Thank you!
